The dispatcher feature allows a specific step approver to assign approvers for later steps in the workflow, presetting the approval steps so that as the submission moves forward the next approver is already selected.

How to fill out and designate approvers using the dispatcher feature
- Navigate to your form using the initiator link, or click on the folder for your form and select Initiate Form.
- Enter your name and email, then select Go to Form.
- Fill out the required information on the form and click the Continue button at the bottom of your form.

On the Next Steps/Approver page, enter or select the approvers you want to designate for each step.
If the step is optional, check or uncheck the box to include or skip that approver. Required steps don't have this option and you must enter recipient information for all required steps. - Review the list of approvers at the bottom of the screen and enter any that might be missing.
- Click on the “Approve this form” button and you see and a confirmation page and receive a confirmation email.
How to approve a form that has been been sent to you using dispatcher
- Fill out any fields or signatures that are needed.
- Click “I have reviewed this form” (red button) when you are finished reviewing, and select “Send to next approver”

On the next screen, you’ll see the next approver’s information filled out for you. Click on “Send to recipient” to submit the form.

You will be brought to a confirmation page that your form was submitted, as well as a confirmation email.
How to edit the Routing Plan on your form
After a form has been dispatched, you can edit the predesignated approver for any step that hasn't been reached yet. This allows you to update the routing plan without needing to reroute the form manually.
Note: You need facilitator access to the form to make this change. Learn more about the different staff permission levels.
- Log into your account and navigate to the form and open the submission.
- Once you’re on the submission, click on `Admin tools` , and select `Edit Routing Plan`
- In the edit routing plan page, you can change the pre-designated approver, toggle whether steps can be skipped or not. Note: Only steps that haven’t been reached yet can be changed.
- If you need to change the **current** approver for form, use `Change approver` under admin tools.
- After making the changes, click “Edit Plan” to save your changes.
