You can update the pages on a form’s underlying PDF while the form is in test mode. This article will provide information on how to replace individual pages as well as how to replace the entire document.
Note: This article applies to account holders with form creator access. Please contact your district people admin or other point of contact if you believe you should have form creator access.

How to add one or more pages…
- Locate the folder of the form that is in testing and click on the dropdown arrow.
- From the folder’s dropdown, choose the Edit Document option. Alternatively, you can also click the Document tab from the navigation menu on the Responses page.
- Click the Advanced Options menu on the document toolbar and click the Add Pages option
- From the pop-up module, choose the PDF file you wish to use and the position where the new pages are needed on the existing document
- Click Add Pages
- You will see a confirmation message once your pages are added and a link to scroll to the section where the new pages were added
Note: This action will create a new version of the document and changes are NOT reversible. Users currently testing the form will need to start a new request in order to see the document updates.
How to replace the entire document
- Locate the folder of the form that is in testing and click on the dropdown arrow.
- From the Settings section, click the Edit Document link. Alternatively, you can also click the Document tab from the navigation menu on the responses page.
- Click on Advanced Options. Choose the new PDF file from your desktop and click the Replace Document button. You will be asked to confirm your changes once more–Click OK to finalize your changes
Note: Selecting a new PDF with fewer pages than the previous document might result in the loss of some fields. This action will create a new version of the document and changes are NOT reversible. Users currently testing the form will need to start a new request in order to see the document updates.
How to replace a single page
- Locate and click the folder of the form that is in Testing
- From the folder’s dropdown, choose the Edit Document option. Alternatively, you can also click the Document tab from the navigation menu on the responses page.
- Scroll down to the page you wish to replace and click Replace
- Choose the PDF file with the page you wish to use and click Replace Page
- You will see a confirmation message once your pages are added and a link to scroll to the section where the page was replaced. You may need to make field adjustments if the new file is significantly different from the original.
Note: You will only be able to replace single pages at this time. You might see an error message if you upload a PDF with multiple pages. This action will create a new version of the document and changes are NOT reversible. Users currently testing the form will need to start a new request in order to see the document updates.
How to move a single page
- Locate the folder of the form that is in testing and click on the dropdown arrow.
- From the folder’s dropdown, choose the Edit Document option. Alternatively, you can also click the Document tab from the navigation menu on the responses page.
- Scroll down to the page you wish to replace and click Move
- Select the new position for the page and click Move Page
- You will see a confirmation message once your pages are added and a link to scroll to the section where the page was replaced.
Note: This action will create a new version of the document and changes are NOT reversible. Users currently testing the form will need to start a new request in order to see the document updates.
How to delete a single page
- Locate the folder of the form that is in testing and click on the dropdown arrow.
- From the folder’s dropdown, choose the Edit Document option. Alternatively, you can also click the Document tab from the navigation menu on the responses page.
- Scroll down to the page you wish to replace and click Delete
- You will see a confirmation module. Click Yes, delete this page if you wish to continue.
- You will see a confirmation message once your page is deleted
Note: You will not be able to delete any pages containing permissions fields or used in a formula. This action will create a new version of the document and changes are NOT reversible. Users currently testing the form will need to start a new request in order to see the document updates.
