If your district uses Proofpoint and Informed K12 emails aren’t arriving, Proofpoint Dynamic Reputation (PDR) may be blocking our sending IP, 204.220.179.224.
We’ve submitted a global delist request through Proofpoint’s IP lookup, but that can take up to 72 hours. The fastest way to restore delivery is a local bypass in your Proofpoint tenant.
Note: This bypasses only the PDR IP-reputation check for this address. Proofpoint’s spam, malware, and content filtering still apply.
Add a PDR bypass in Proofpoint
- Check your Proofpoint logs to confirm 204.220.179.224 is being blocked.
- If you administer Proofpoint Protection Server, go to System > Policy Routes > Add and create a route with these settings:
- Route ID: pdr_safe
- Condition: Sender IP Address equals 204.220.179.224
- Save and enable the route.
Note: If your tenant doesn’t show policy routes, forward this article to your Proofpoint administrator or add the IP through your tenant’s allowed-sender or PDR-safe setting. Proofpoint’s full instructions are here: How to delist a sender from Proofpoint Dynamic Reputation. - Reply to your support ticket or contact Informed K12 Support once the bypass is enabled, and we’ll send a test message right away.
If you’re able to, please also open a Proofpoint support case from your tenant requesting an expedited review of 204.220.179.224. Proofpoint offers its customers an expedited path that isn’t available to us as the sender, and it helps clear the IP faster.
